In-house Capability - Construction Services
Ardmore's in-house capability enables us to keep more of our projects under our direct control, ensuring a consistently high level of quality and lowering costs, making us one of the most competitive companies in the construction industry.
Scaffolding
PAC Scaffolding Limited is the Ardmore Group company dedicated to the supply and erection of scaffolding to Ardmore projects, achieving the highest standards of worker-safety and public protection, as can be seen here on our Basingstoke and Woking projects.
Small Tools
Ardmore hires a wide range of small tools that are in every day use on construction sites. This includes breakers, angle grinders, survey instruments, cable locating devices, access equipment, cement mixers and much more. The photograph illustrates our small tools warehouse and maintenance facility, which gives an indication of the scale of the resource available.
Fire Protection
Ardmore supplies and maintains the large quantities of fire extinguishers that are installed on its sites. By testing and re-filling on our own premises we minimise costs. We also supply and install battery powered fire alarm sounders, and purpose made fire points.
Power Generation and Distribution
Lack of electricity on site is of no hindrance to Ardmore, as it can supply a complete range of heavy duty generators capable of powering complete projects, including tower cranes and site distribution, from within its own resources. We also supply all of the transformers and power distribution equipment needed, and fit these on site using our own electricians.
Waste Removal
Ardmore operates a fleet of waste removal lorries with 40 yard skips and are licensed to transport waste to accredited waste disposal points. Shown here is a heavy-duty compactor that compresses all soft waste into the minimum volume possible for disposal.
Catering
Ardmore provides subsidized canteen facilities on all of its sites in line with its 'Respect for People' policy. It does not sub-contract this facility but manages its own staff directly in order to provide the best quality meals at the lowest possible price for its work force. The same facilities are enjoyed by both management and work force alike.
Diamond Drilling
Ardmore have in-house capability for diamond drilling, enabling holes and chases to be readily cut through reinforced concrete where required to install services.
Builders Clean
Ardmore has a centralised cleaning team that are organised to move from project to project cleaning buildings that have been finished in readiness for occupation. This attention to detail symbolises Ardmore’s dedication to customer satisfaction as well as the efficient use of labour.
